Who am I ?

My name is Jerry Casper.  I was born and raised in Richfield, North Carolina.  Growing up on a farm, I learned at a very early age about the outdoors and wildlife.   I started out fishing and hunting when I was only six years old.  I have been addicted to the outdoors ever since.

I attended North Stanly High school in New London, NC  from 1980-1984 and joined the Army shortly after.  After serving four years in the Army, I returned home and worked various jobs throughout the years .  I was laid off in 2007 from Freightliner, in Cleveland, NC.  At which time I realized that working for "the man" in this economy was not going to give me the chance to ever be what I wanted in life, "my own boss".  So I made the decision to go back to school and become what I believe has become my true calling, a Taxidermist.

Since becoming a Taxidermist, I have had the opportunity to also go through school to learn packing and guiding for hunting in the western states and the Rocky Mountains.  By doing this, it also gave me the chance to witness the most rugged, yet also the most beautiful areas in the "Rockies" and see all of the big game animals this country holds.  I was fortunate to have been able to do all that I have in my life and can only hope that everyone would have that same opportunity.  I have learned to use what I've seen in the wilderness to benefit my taxidermy mounts.  By studying the wildlife in thier own world, I have more knowledge of how thier mounts should look when finished.  I strive for perfection in all of my work.  If I'm not satisfied, I know you wouldn't be either.  So it is only right that you receive the best that I can give.  I stand behind all of my work and if there is anything that you are not happy with, I will do everything I can to make it right.
